Taper Pins

Taper pins are a fastener that is commonly used in mechanical engineering applications. Tapered pins are essentially steel rods with one end having a minimally larger diameter than the opposite end. Sometimes, tapered pins have a male screw thread on the smaller end which holds the pin in place with a washer and nut. Other times, the pins are threaded on both ends, and the thick end is used to pull the pin out with the same nut that holds the pin in place.
