Ball Slides

High precision ball slides are mechanically simple linear motion devices. These ball slides are made from a stationary base with a mobile carriage on top. There are two rows of hardened stainless steel balls on both sides of the base, which provide accuracy, smoothness and low friction sliding motions between the base and the top slide. W.M. Berg ball slide assemblies provide accurate linear motion with high repeatability, and are nearly frictionless. Common applications for ball slides include medical analyzing or testing machines, electronic chip processing equipment, assembly systems, lasers and optical assemblies. Linear ball slides are used in a variety of light and compact applications.

Linear ball slides are lightweight and compact and operate with low sliding resistance. They are excellent for high speed responsive performance because of their minimal friction factor and low inertia. We are committed to quality and excellence and will work with you to help you get the ball slides you require, including custom engineering options.
